Comfort and Precision
• No-Drill Dentistry Our no drill or drill-less dentistry is a leap into the future that allows removal of dental decay without the dreaded whine of the drill and often without the needle, too! The technology uses forced air and a safe, small particle substance to etch away the decay rapidly and without the vibrations and heat of the dental drill. It can get at decay sooner because it is a fine spray so you can keep your natural teeth for life. Few patients need anesthesia of any type.
• Dental Laser We use the exciting dental laser to gently and effectively treat the ravages of gum disease usually without numbing anesthesia. It stops the progression of the tooth and bone destroying disease. Laser treatment helps to eliminate the need for conventional, often painful, gum surgery in up to 75% of cases.
The laser can also be used to gently and artistically refashion the gum line. It can turn short teeth or a gummy smile into the smile you’ve always wanted.
• Electronic Anesthesia No pain. No needle. No Drugs. No after effects. This technology precisely controls the dosage of anesthesia so you get only the amount required to painlessly complete the procedure. It is used in the more common procedures we perform that require numbing. You’re no longer leaving with a completely numb face after every tooth restoring procedure.
• In-Office Sedation We offer many ways to make our patients who are under going complex smile restorations feel comfortable. Oral medication can provide conscious sedation that makes everything go away: stress, worry and memory of the procedure.
• One-Visit Root Canals The root canal is a procedure that has kept many people away from the dental office including those who might not need one, just because of the ‘mythic lore’ behind the term. Much of the reason for the fear wasn’t so much the discomfort, but the technique used. It used to be, and still is in many offices, a manual or imprecise mechanical process.
At our office we use the latest technology. We can precisely locate the apex of the root electronically and with a computer controlled device, we can remove the damaged or diseased root efficiently and more comfortably.
• Surgical Telescope Precision in surgery means comfort is increased and results are improved. The surgical telescope makes esthetic enhancement better because we get an up close view of the artistry we’re creating. It increases surgical comfort because it enhances accuracy, reducing the time we need to perform each procedure.

Amazing Diagnostics
• PerioScope Traditionally, the only the way to examine has been through manual exploration - touching and prodding. Or, by using x-rays. Both of these methods offered some information, but it was limited and inconclusive in many cases. The PerioScope changes all that by providing real-time visualization of gum tissue health below the surface – it is enhanced by intense illumination and 24-48X magnification.
We call it the gum disease-conquering camera because it finds it early. It also helps us improve gum disease prevention techniques. It even helps us diagnose root fractures (which are not identifiable by the naked eye) and catch decay early when it starts down around the root.
• Intraoral Camera This is not only a diagnostic tool it is an educational supplement for our patients. The intraoral camera (it looks like an oversized pen) magnifies the surface areas of the teeth and helps us locate small pits and cracks that might be harboring disease. This up-close information is immediately available to both doctor and patient on a TV monitor in the exam room.
This visual feedback also helps our patients understand the value of modern dentistry. It is possible to see the damage caused by old, metal amalgam fillings that expand and contract and can cause cracking and breaking.
• Disease Detection by Laser Detecting disease can often be an inexact science. Fortunately, technology is giving us a better view of disease at an earlier stage. The DIAGNOdent laser system is a spectacular breakthrough in dental disease detection. Before its use about fifty percent of cavities went undetected. Now we can uncover disease more consistently and prevent significant tooth loss
The DIAGNOdent laser light harmlessly, and precisely, detects disease. One of the most difficult areas to locate disease is on the chewing areas of teeth and under and around metal fillings. The laser makes it possible for us to lift the veil on what used to be hidden areas of disease. All this is done safely, painlessly and without exposure to x-rays.
